A Secluded Retreat to Get Back to Nature

Wading Pines is a wooded, secluded retreat where guests come to slow down and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our campground is built around simple pleasures: quiet mornings under the pines, afternoons on the water, and evenings by the fire.
We welcome families, couples, and groups who enjoy outdoor recreation and a friendly campground atmosphere. If you’re looking for luxury resort services or late-night party energy, we may not be the best match—but if you value nature, community, and classic camping, you’ll feel right at home here.

Ways to Stay at Wading Pines

Two large RVs and several canopies are set up among tall pine trees in a wooded campground on a sunny day.

RV Sites

Choose wooded back-in or pull-through sites, including options near the river and pond. It’s classic RV camping in the Pine Barrens, with easy access to amenities and activities.

Two small wooden cabins with porches are surrounded by tall trees in a sunlit forested area with a dirt path in front.

Rustic Cabins

Our rustic cabins are simple and cozy—perfect for guests who want a roof and a real bed while staying close to nature. (Cabins are rustic; they do not include private bathrooms or kitchens.)

Two tents, two blue chairs, a white inner tube, and a motorcycle are set up at a campsite marked 239 in a wooded area.

Tent Camping

Pitch a tent under tall pines and enjoy a classic Pine Barrens camping experience—close to bathhouses, activities, and the Wading River.

Seasonal RV Sites

Camp the whole season and make Wading Pines your homebase in nature. Seasonal guests enjoy a community feel, cost savings, and the convenience of leaving their setup in place.

Groups, Rallies & Reunions

From scout troops and youth groups to reunions and RV rallies, Wading Pines can be a great place to bring people together. Group stays work best when planned early—especially for spring weekends and midweek windows.

The Grove Group Camping

The Grove is our dedicated group camping area, ideal for organized groups who want to camp together in one space. The Grove accommodates one RV and up to 40 people in tents and includes water and electricity (30/110 amp), two picnic tables, and one fire ring.

Best Times for RV Rallies

For RV rallies, the best availability is typically spring (April through mid-May) or midweek (Sunday–Thursday)
